The Rockledge Foundation was founded in 2008 to support the educational and leadership development of members of Iota Chapter of Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY.
Chartered in 1909, the Iota Chapter, also known as "Rockledge," is one of the oldest active chapters of Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity, a national social fraternity founded at Yale University in 1845. The current fraternity property at 804 Stewart Avenue has been owned since 1911 by Iota Chapter of Alpha Sigma Phi, Incorporated, a not-for-profit 501(c)(7) corporation. The Rockledge Foundation is not legally affiliated with, and operates independently of, the local fraternity, its housing corporation, and the national fraternity organization. Contributions to the foundation are tax-deductible because it is a 501(c)(3) organization.
The Rockledge Foundation is committed to supporting active students and alumni of the fraternity by funding scholarships, speaker grants, educational and leadership development activities, and other educational-related projects. The Foundation's success depends on the generous financial and volunteer support of alumni and undergraduate fraternity members, family, and friends.
