Steve Slaughter, President
Steve is a former electrical engineer for Northrop Grumman Corporation, where he worked on national defense and aerospace projects. He currently attends Harvard Business School and plans to pursue a career in the tech industry after earning his MBA. Steve graduated from Cornell University in 2017, where he served as President of the Iota Chapter of Alpha Sigma Phi.
Steven Hewitson, Vice President
Steve is a partner in the Litigation Section of Troutman Sanders LLP, where he focuses primarily on environmental litigation and the regulation of electric utilities. He volunteers his time as a youth sports coach and also assists with the trial techniques program at Emory Law School. Steve served as president of Alpha Sigma Phi while attending Cornell University and received his law degree from Emory University. He lives in Atlanta with his wife and two children.
David N. Poggi, Treasurer
David is Operations Manager at Liberty Mutual in Boston, MA. He graduated from Cornell University's College of Engineering and received his MBA from Dartmouth's Tuck School of Business. As an alumnus member of Alpha Sigma Phi at Cornell University, David volunteered as president of the Iota Chapter's housing corporation from 2000 to 2003.
Adam Mikulka, Director
Adam is a Director in the Banking and Capital Markets Advisory group at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He is an alumnus member of Alpha Sigma Phi (Iota Chapter). Adam received his MBA from Cornell's Johnson Graduate School of Management and has a Bachelor of Science in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University's College of Engineering.
John Cokinos, Director
John Cokinos is managing director and head of Leveraged Finance Capital Markets and Syndicate. In this role, Cokinos has responsibility for all underwritten, bridge and best efforts loan and bond financing in the non-investment grade coverage areas.
Previously, Cokinos was co-head of Leveraged Loan and High Yield Capital Markets in the Americas. He joined the firm in 2007 as head of High Yield Capital Markets and High Yield Syndicate.
Cokinos is a member of the Leveraged Finance Capital Commitments and High Yield Underwriting Committees. He is also a member of Bank of America Merrill Lynchâs Leveraged Finance leadership team.
Prior to joining the firm, Cokinos worked at Lehman Brothers for nine years in the High Yield Capital Markets and Leveraged Finance businesses, and prior to that he was at Citigroup for four years.
Cokinos graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science degree
Drew Bonfiglio, Secretary
Drew is an Operations and Management Consultant at Stroud Consulting. His focus is on process improvement and change management. He is also co-founder of, and adviser for, Emzingo Group LLC, a leadership development company that combines training and social sector consulting. Drew is an alumnus of Alpha Sigma Phi (Iota Chapter). He received his Bachelor of Science in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University's College of Engineering and his MBA from IE Business School in Madrid, Spain.
